Naples is one of Campania's main ferry ports and a city that is sure to fascinate. Its chaotic beauty, ancient history and vibrant character will win you over at first sight. Stroll through the lively streets of the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover its Baroque churches, magnificent palaces and narrow streets. Be sure to visit the National Archaeological Museum of Naples to admire its impressive collections of Roman and Greek artefacts.

From Naples, you can easily reach Pompeii by train or bus. This ancient city, frozen in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, is an experience not to be missed. Explore the cobbled streets, admire the well-preserved frescoes in the houses and imagine the daily life of the Romans over 2,000 years ago. If you have time, also visit nearby Herculaneum, another Roman town buried by the eruption.

Another important ferry port in Campania, Sorrento is an elegant seaside resort perched on a cliff with breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Campania: When to visit?

The best time to travel in Italy depends on your personal preferences. If you like the sun and the heat, summer is the ideal time for you. The months of June to August offer high temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C in the southern regions of the country. However, temperatures can rise to 40°C in certain regions such as Sicily and Calabria. Italy's beaches are crowded during this period, so expect plenty of tourists.

If you prefer milder temperatures and avoid the crowds, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are good seasons to visit Italy. Temperatures are pleasant, fluctuating between 15°C and 25°C, and the landscapes are magnificent, with flowers blooming in spring and changing leaves in autumn.
